--sorry for the lack of October notes.—jenna had computer issues, but all should be well!

--fees for the senior center are going up to $30 per hour. We discussed finding a new space to meet (but we do have storage space at the senior center.) we will not know if our rate raises or not until we receive the new contract in december. We can decide then what to do
workshops—
--scarf painting workshop is a go for January…we needto pick a date (betweene the 9, 16 or 23) voted on the 16, with the 23 as a backup/snow, but may not be able to have a back-up date, due to the artists schedule
--workshop will most likely be 5 hours (9-2) and was suggested that the art does not have to be a scarf, but can be a wall piece,,,with embellished beads, etc
--are still looking into a mobile workshop, but this will also most likely be a program in February or march…..do we want to repeat? (decided to book the program, then decide on workshop)
web site—
--jenna would like to add to the “members” page, and post a link to any members current web page, or create a gallery of members work. If you are interested in having a selection of your work, and some info about yourself posted on the website, please contact jenna @: jenna@jennalarson.com
--jenna is also working on fine-tuning the website
--discussion of whether the newsletter should be on the website or not (because it holds a lot of personal info) decided to leave it on the site, but to rediscuss if it created any problems
old business
--kathy has created a “meter madam” for the ofaa in correlation with the parking lot opening on Saturday. There will be events at the new lot (behind main street-across from the library) Saturday afternoon (11-7-9), and a pizza cook off and other events in the bank building.
--members exhibit will take place during the art walk. Preparty from 5-6, artwalk from 6-9. Members have signed up to bring food!
--michele missner is also exhibiting at Thimke jewelers this month
--holiday party will take place at robbons on December 5, the invites will be available at the artwalk.

--there are still 5 baskets left to be created….please help our fundraiser, and create a basket—contact michaelene fro more info.
New business—
--the mosquito hill art show will take place November 14 from 10-2. You can still sign up to exhibit!
--we had one response from our tv ad! Good job carol!
--a question was asked about the billboards…the contract was signed, and the person wants to come in and talk to us as a group. We are looking at doing this as our program in march
--december there is no meeting (but there is a Christmas party!)
next meeting is January 5 (joye moon will be presenting images from the transparent watercolor show, and commenting on the judges feedback)
--peggy will be in Thailand for the January meeting, so Maxine will be acting president
--a group has been meeting on Wednesday and Thursday mornings in the senior center to paint. They use this as a time to get feedback, and teach each other. Focus is on watercolor on Wednesday, and oil on Thursday, but anything is ok. $1.50 per person
--there is a gathering at michalenes studio @ 5:00 next Wednesday to make paper paste for basket wrappings. Come and help!!!
